Community Outreach
Olympic Send-Off —The Pilot Project was a huge success! Former athletes present a SendOff party for current athletes. an outdoor activity for both Winter and Summer Olympics, which all add to the community's enthusiasm before, during and after the Games. This Activity increases a community's awareness of its own Olympians, promotes Health and Fitness, boosts viewing audiences during the Games, and creates awareness of the local NOA, the WOA and their missions. This event will become an Olympic Tradition before every Games.
Olympians as Ambassadors — The WOA is supporting various NOA programs engaging Olympians as Ambassadors for School and Community visits, with topics such Health and Fitness, Anti-doping, Obesity programs, and other mentoring messages.
