Olympic Day Sport and Art
Art of the Olympians and the Al Oerter Center for Excellence held a series of very successful Olympic Day activities. Olympians Liston Bochette (PUR), Skip Cutting (USA) and Nzaeli Kyomo (TAN) spoke to and entertained a museum full of young people. The Mayor of the City, Randal P. Henderson welcomed the visitors of all ages and read a proclamation declaring the 23rd of June as the official local Olympic Day. In addition to tours and lectures, Skip Cutting lead a bicycle ride for community enthusiaists. Art of the Olympians was established to show case the relationship between the Cultural and Sport sides of the Olympic Movement. It is open to the public Tues thorough Saturday.
