Proclamation Agreement between the World Olympians Association and Fair Play International

WHEREAS, the World Olympians Association is an organization created and recognized by the International Olympic Committee for the purpose of promoting Olympism around the world; and

WHEREAS, the World Olympians Association is composed of athlete members from many races, creeds, and cultures without discrimination; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the World Olympians Association promotes equal opportunity to participate in sport through discipline and commitment to succeed; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the World Olympians Association seeks to contribute to the establishment of a more peaceful and just world; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the International Fairplay Committee recognizes those individuals who exhibit the highest character through sport; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the International Fairplay Committee embodies and adheres to the inherent values of the Olympic Movement; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the International Fairplay Committee seeks to influence and improve the quality of life for all people everywhere.

| NOW, THEREFORE, Let It Be Known that the World Olympians Association recognizes, endeavors and supports the goals of International Fairplay Committee, on this 18 September 2000, in the City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The World Olympians Association and the International Fairplay Committee agree to share resources for the benefit of society through the support of these most admirable ideals and their role models. Together these two proud institutions represent one body bound by the Olympic philosophy of life. |
